Plan Cameroon is an international Child Centered Community Development Organization with no religious, political or governmental affiliation working in Cameroon since 1996. Plan Cameroon is in the process of acquiring a grant from the World Food Program(WFP) for the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of activities relating to  the management of Moderate Acute Malnutrition(MAM) in the East, North and Far-North regions. Within this framework we are looking for potential Cameroonian candidates for one year duration renewable contract to fulfill the positions below: NB: Awarding employment contracts to selected candidates will depend on the final agreement on the grant with the donor. Title: (01)Accountant for the Supplementary Feeding Program(SFP). Duty Station: Garoua with a possibility to be transferred anywhere in Cameroon. Main responsabilities and Responsibilities Under the authority of the PU Finance Coordinator, the Accountant will among other tasks perform the following: Participate in the budgeting process and ensures that operational plans are consistent with the approved budgets. Participate in the development and modification of PO's Monitor's project budget entries in program management software called PPM and keep records of budget modifications on file. Attend to Coordination meetings/seminars on Project grants and relevant information and active participation is given/made Monitor actual Project expenditures against approved line items on a monthly basis; alert management on any irregularities. Ensure payments transactions to project implementation partners. Facilitate all payments in the field during various activities(training, workshops, etc). Reviews requisitions and ensure they are in line with the budget. Track monthly project expenditure regularly and issues/problems indetified are reported to Finance Coordinator and project Coordinator appropriately and on time. Analysis and reconcilies project expenditures Vs budget accurately and on time. Prepare and submit donor financial reports on time as per the agreement with donor, in collaboration with Grants Accountant and Finance Coordinator. Work in collaboration with Grants Accountant to Attach Project Account lines to grant agreement document(GAD) accurately and on a timely basis. Reply to inquiries on Project grant-finance related issues promptly and correctly. Store files and other information related to SFP project Grant in an organized manner and easily retrieved. Qualification and Experience University degree in Accounting/Finance At least 3 years' experience in a similar role Good experience in project reporting requirements Skills and Behaviour Good knowledge and experience in using computer software applications(mainly MS Excel) Good experience and knowledge of accounting and grant funds management regulations and procedures Good experience and knowledge on internal financial controls and procedures.
