Ministry of Defence Release The Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence herebyinforms: Young Cameroonians of both sexes who are interested in building a career in theDefence Forces, that there will be a special recruitment of 100 (one hundred)musicians in the Music Company of the Presidential Guard (GP). Therecruitment will run from 26 November to 18 December, 2018 within thepremises of the Presidential Guard at Obili. I- Conditions to be fulfilled by applicants- Be of Cameroonian nationality;- Be at least 18 years old on 1st January 2018 and most 23 years old on 31stDecember 2018 (that is, must be born between at 31st December 1995for the oldest and 1st January 2000 for the youngest);- Should never have been convicted;- Be single without dependent children;- Be of good moral character;- Be physically fit to carry out the prescribed medical, mental and sports tests;- Be a holder of at least the CEP, the FSLC or an equivalent certificate.However, it is highly recommended that candidates submit theirhighest certificates;- Be of a minimum height of of 1.66 metres tall for boys, and 1.60 metres forgirls;- Have a good knowledge of music theory and instrumental practise. III. Composition of application file- A handwritten application bearing a 1.000 CFA francs fiscal stamp, signedby the candidate and addressed to: the Minister Delegate at the Presidencyin charge of Defence;- A certified true copy of birth certificate not more than three (03) months old;- A certified true copy of applicant’s academic certificate; An attestation of presentation of applicant’s original academic certificate;- A certificate of non-conviction not more than three months old;- One applicant information sheet duly filled out;- A certificate of celibacy;- Four (4) passport seize photographs (4x4) of the applicant, bearing his/hername on the back;- An uncertified photocopy of the National Identity Card or the Receipt; - A certificate of Camerooniannationality issued by the competent services;- An envelope bearing applicant’s address and a 500 CFA Francs postal stamp;- A curriculum vitae signed by the applicant;- A sum of 5,000 CFA Francs, representing participation fees in therecruitment (to be paid during the prior medical fitness examination);- A sum of 20,000 CFA Francs, being the cost of throrough medicalexamination, to be paid by applicants who have passed the preselectiontests. Applicants are reminded of the following:- They shall not be authorized to marry before three (03) full years of effectiveservice;- The obligation to present only authentic certificates under penality ofprosecution. In addition, successful candidates must present before their entry into theTraining Centre, the original of their National Identity Card, failing whichthey shall be dismissed from the recruitment.
