Plan Cameroon is in the process of acquiring a grant from the World Food Program(WFP) for the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of activities relating to the management of Moderate Acute Malnutrition(MAM) in the East, North and Far-North regions. Within this framework we are looking for potential Cameroonian candidates for one year duration renewable contract to fulfill the positions below:
NB: Awarding employment contracts to selected candidates will depend on the final agreement on the grant with the donor.
Title: (03)Accounts Assistant for the Supplementary Feeding Program(SFP).
Duty Station: Bertoua, Garoua and Maroua with a possibility to be transferred anywhere in Cameroon.
Main responsabilities and Responsibilities
Under the authority of the Project Accountant, the Accounts Assistant will among other tasks perform the following:
Provides assistance in the consolidation of WFP Budget during budget period.
Assist in reviewing partners and Plan documents to check compliance to GAD(Grant Agreement Document) requirements/processes and any deviation are dealt appropriately.
Processes Payment Vouchers and Journal Vouchers through GL(General Ledger) on time and in accordance with the Operations Book.
Ensure compliance with local regulatory and tax legislation.
Prepare monthly Bank Reconciliation.
Assist in reconciling grand expenditures vs budget accurately and on time.
Qualification and Experience
University degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, economics
At least 2 years' experience preferably in an international development organization,
Good experience and knowledge of internal financial controls and procedures
Experience and knowledge of accounting, grant funds management regulations and procedures
Skills and Behaviour
Accounting experience in data entry and Knowledge of local finance system and WFP Procedures
Computer skills(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet)
Be bilingual(English and French)
